Marie Fideline Igihozo

MA Counselling Psychology, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), CCC

Reaching out for support isn’t always easy. Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, leaving you feeling anxious, stuck, emotionally exhausted, or unsure of your next step. You don’t have to navigate those challenges alone. My goal is to offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward meaningful change.

I believe therapy begins with a genuine therapeutic relationship built on trust, compassion, and collaboration. Every person’s story is unique, so I tailor therapy to your experiences, strengths, and goals. Together, we’ll explore the challenges you’re facing, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and have provided psychotherapy to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, trauma-related concerns, and cultural adjustment and identity issues.

My approach is person-centred and integrative. I draw from approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), mindfulness-based interventions, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I work collaboratively with clients to develop goals that feel meaningful to them, while adapting the therapeutic process to their needs and circumstances.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring nature, cooking, and trying new foods. I value balance, curiosity, and lifelong learning, and these values also shape the way I approach my work with clients.

Whether you’re navigating a difficult season, processing past experiences, or simply hoping to better understand yourself, I’d be honoured to support you as you explore what comes next.
