Margot Hovey

Margot embraces Eldership in counselling seniors, caregivers, adults, couples, and families in transition. She weaves her expertise in facilitating inclusion – racial, cultural, age, sexual orientation and gender identity into clinical processes through Integral counselling. Her approach weaves mind, body, and spirit into healing through wholeness.

Margot’s clinical focus are adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, emotional regulation, eating disorders, and other mental health challenges and the impact to family systems (illness, death, relocation, diagnosis, infidelity, divorce, dementia, retirement). She cultivates a client-centred process. She draws from informed counselling modalities (psychodynamic, ACT, narrative therapy, gestalt … ). Margot belongs to College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (RP-Q), the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy association (CCC), and Academy of Naturopath and Naturotherapists of Canada (NA) with a M.A. Counselling Psychology and Ph.D. Integral Studies.
